    When anyone takes the whooping cough, it is believed that if their sponcers tie a red ribbon round their neck that it would be cured.
    3. There is a terrible disease called the burst, which comes upon the finger, and if the person did not discover it in time it might spread over the whole finger, so that the person might have to get the finger off before it could be cured.
    There is a man named John Moore, Williamstown, Finea, Co W Meath, who has the cure for the burst. He gets a herb in the field, and breaks it up into small pieces, then he gets a small piece of butter, and some other stuff, he mixes all up and while he is doing so he says the prayer.
    There is a very common disease known as ring-worm. When the ring-worm starts to grow you
