- (continued from previous page)given to a poor woman so she threw it in to fire and it was immediately extinguished.She then came to the second fire and after a long search she finally found a ball of thread which she had given to a neighbour to help her finish a stocking.She threw it in the fire and it went out immediately.When she came to the third and last fire and couldn't find anything to help her through it so she had to walk through it bare footed and she was so much burned that she had to go to hospital but she got better after a while.The woman in the rich house became the most charitable person in the place.
