turf are a few days on the bank they are spread or footed five sods are enough in every footing then they are in small clamps and sometimes big clamps. Some people bring them home when they are in the small clamps.
The people who have not time to bring them home make big reeks. About August and September they bring them home but some leave them there until October wind comes to dry them. A horse and cart draws home the turf.
