CHURN MAKINGMrs Lynch, Clonmellon, employs men to make churns. Joe Lynch, Ankerland, Castlepollard makes churns and tubs and wooden pails. He sells them in the towns of Oldcastle, Castlepollard and Mullingar. He makes them out of oak wood.
BASKET MAKINGPatk. Hannon, Cummerstown, Collinstown weaves baskets out of sally rods. John Coleman of Cooleighter, Drumcree also makes baskets.
THATCHERSEdward Reilly of Mabestown, Delvin is a good thatcher.
FISHERSJames Lawe (?) and Henry Reilly of Drumcree are good fishers. They fish in Lough Deel with a net for perch.
Mrs Brown of Drumcree was a good laundress.
