CURES FOR SORE CHESTA good rubbing to the chest with turpintine.If brown paper is greased with candle grease and then put on the chest for a night this will cure the chest.
CURES FOR COLDBurned whiskey and rum will cure a bad cold.Take buttermilk gruel before going to bed at night.A mixture of linseed tea, whiskey and the juice of a lemon will cure a bad cold if taken regularly.(continues on next page)
