- What, There are a great number of old churchyards in this parish.
There is one in the village of Catle town It is about 500 years of age. There was an old chapel in it in years gone by. The ruins of the chapel are still to be seen.
There is also one in Balrath one mile beyond the village of Ballinagore. It is 1,000 years old. The remains of an old Monastry is there to be seen. There is also the ruins of an old churchyard in a place calld Killeleigh which can be traced by the old ancient head stones spread over the field. There is a legend in the district that some farmers went to build houses and drew some of the stones to the buildings. They were persecuted so much that they had to leave them back.
