- There were seven Bishops buried in Scally's field Lochnavally and the graves are marked with flags. On every flag there is a Chalice carved. There are seven rocks on each grave representing the seven Bishops. Tradition says that if one of the seven rocks is removed it will return to its own place again.
In the town-land of Redmonstown, there is an old Churchyard where three Bishops and five priests are buried and they have Chalices and things like that buried with them. There is a Mass Rock in Mr John Killians field surrounded by rocks in a big hollow here Mass was celebrated in the Penal Times.
Out-side the mearing in Mr Bernard Manny's field, there is a Churchyard called Caltra. Here seven Bishops were buried in the Penal Times.
Bishop Geoghegan died in the year 1806, His Sacred Vestments and Mass book were in Jamestown House up to 1919.
There is a rock in Mrs Neill's field Adamstown with a cross made from moss stuck on it, and the moss could not be pulled off. There was a priest murdered and(continues on next page)- Collector
