    Colonel Nugent was the landlord in Adamstown long ago. He was a Catholic and he was considered a very good landlord. He never put any people out of their houses because they could not pay their rents. He built houses for his tenants and many of them worked for him and he treated them decently and gave them good wages. He lived in Jamestown Court and his son and two daughters live there presently.
