    There was a "Tuar" which was owned by a man named Tobin. It stretched from the Jail Hill to Ballinderry. The dye works was situated behind the same hill it was owned by Fergusion, he was the father of Dr. Fergusion, the man who was the means of sending Brian Jerry to the gallows.
    In the works the girls and boys worked for two pence halfpenny a day.
