    One evening Johns wife decided that her husband should go to the leipreachaun and get the crock of gold. John wasted no time, only set out to the leipreachaun. He went noiselessly upon him and seized him. He was singing the following song
    "Happy am I, happy am I.
    Here cobbling alone all the day,
    and none to disturb me or route me away.
    Out of Sioban McCarthy's old nook"
    John demanded the crock of gold. Before he gave in to agree he made John promise never to interfere with him. John gave his promise and the leipreachaun took him to the old fort.
    when John got the gold he went home full of joy.
