- The principal wild birds found in our district are the robin, the cuckoo, the crow and the lark.
When Summer is over the cuckoo goes away to warmer countries such as Africa, Spain or Italy.
The robin builds her nest in the ditch. She builds it with sticks, feathers and moss. When the nest is finished, she lays the eggs in it and then hatches them.
