    the forge - the fire being put on an iron stand.
    Mr. Boyhan's bellows is small. It is made of iron. In blowing the fire he turns a handle quickly. Mr. Mulligan's bellows is big and it is made of wood and leather.
    The smith uses an anvil, a hammer, a sledge, a rasp, a tongs, a pincers, a chisel, knife and drill in doing his work.
    The anvil is used for putting the red iron on while the smith hammers it. The tongs is used for taking the iron from the fire. The knife is required in paring horses' feet and the drill is used for making holes in iron.
    The local smith shoes horses and asses but he does not shoe cattle. Those men do not make ploughs, harrows, spades or shovels, as most of those implements are
