  1. There is a river over at Rathaspic called the black river and long ago the ghost of a man named Leg Woods used to appear there, and stop people passing and beat them.
    Everyone was so frightened they asked a priest in Rathowen to do something about it.
    He went over and settled him between the forth and the water and ever since there is a very big lump of froth on the river beside the bridge.
