  1. There is a story told about a horse that was seen in a lake called Samon's Lough which is situated about three miles on this side of Edgeworthstown.
    This horse used to appear on a farm owned by a man named Mr Duffy. It remained on the farm for a week or more.
    One morning the man went out and caught the horse along with one of his own.
    He put the harness on him and started to plough. The horse
