    There was a mark, the sign of a cross, put on the cake. The mark was put on it to let the wind out of the cake. The vessels in which bread was:- an oven and a pan. Some bread was baked in front of the fire standing against a support. The support was made of iron. Currant bread was made at Christmas. Some currant bread would be made when visitors would be coming.
