    winter. The thrush and blackbird build their nests in whitethorn bushes and in trees. Crows build their nests high up in ash trees. The blackbird lays four blue eggs and the thrush lays five eggs. The swallow builds her nest in old houses where there are no people living. The corn-crake builds her nest in a meadow. The water-hen builds her nest along a pond or a river. Grouse build their nests in the bogs. When there are seagulls flying through the country that is a sign that there is a storm on sea.
