- Home made toys were always made by the children long ago.
For catching birds boys make cribs. These are made from sally rods in this way. Get five or six sally rods and tie them at the top. Pull them out then as wide as you can, so that they are wide at one end and narrow at the other.
Now get thin sally rods and weave them in and out through these strong rods like a basket. They are all very tight and close together when they are finished.
Then get a small piece of stick, fairly strong and put it across the bottom of the crib. Then place another(continues on next page)- Collector
