    Sonna was made for the convenience of the Malones and Tuites by the tenants of these landlords.
    The Laragh road leads from Balroe crossroads over Laragh Hill noted for St. Patrick's chair.
    The Sonna road leads from Sonna crossroads to Bunbrosna.
    The Johnstown road leads from Clarke's crossroads to Johnstown.
    The Ballynacroighy and Sonna roads were made by the free labour of the tenents of Sonna and Baronstown Estates.
    At Empor there is a ford across the river Inny at Ballinacarrow.
    This was used before the bridge was constructed.
