- Once there were two people who were very poor. Nancy and Paddy were their names. It was rent day so Paddy took his cow to the fair to pay the rent with whatever he would sell her for. On his way he met a tiny man under a tree. The little man asked him for the cow and said he would give him a nice little bottle for her. This was a magic bottle. He told Paddy to go home tell Nancy to clean up the house put her best tablecloth on the table and put the bottle in the centre and say "Bottle, bottle do your duty".
Paddy went home and did as he was told. When they spoke to the bottle beautiful plates came down through the roof full of every kind of nice things and rested on the table. Paddy and Nancy had a great feast and when they had finished the house cleaned itself. They became very happy and rich as the bottle supplied all their needs.
Their landlord became very suspicious as he was always paid in gold now(continues on next page)- Collector
