James Lally whose house is in Kilgarvin had a picture of the old church and after the ambush of Tubrid a hill near his dwelling his house was raided by the Black and Tans and they destroyed all the pictures in his house among them the interesting one of the church. There is no other copy extant in the district.- Collector
