    She lays four sky-blue eggs.
    The blackbird builds her nest of wool, moss and mud and she lines it with hay. She lays five, blue eggs and she stays hatching on them for three weeks.
    The wren, the yellow-hammer and the grey wren also build their nests in the hedges. The robin makes a hole in the side of the ditch and builds her nest in it.
    The crow, the magpie , the wood pigeon, and the hawk build their nests up in high trees. On the ground in the meadows the lark and the corn-crake build their nests. The plover and pheasant, the partridge and the snipe build their nests in the heather.
