There are twenty-one families and eighty people living in it. The commonest name is McLynn. There are ten people over seventy. There are two slated and there are two tiled houses. There are also seventeen thatched houses.
The land consists mostly of bog but there is a big hill in the middle of it. the Muckinagh bog is one of the biggest in the parish. It consists of about 150 acres of bog in it. The bog supplies the people in Kilkenny West, Tubberclair, Liss,Tonagh, Lowpark, Killfaughney, Killeenmore.
