- The old people long ago made starch out of potatoes. They rasped the potatoes first against a rough piece of tin. Then they strained them into a basin. Rasp is also made out of potatoes. First the potatoes are washed and peeled. Then they are rasped and mixed with flour. It is put to bake like pancakes on a pan(continues on next page)
