    I also heard that when Jesus was carrying his cross a witty Jew said to him "Hurry up and get to the end of your journey." Jesus said to him "I shall get to the end of my journey and finish my work but thou shalt be wandering about and thou shalt not get to the end of thy journey until the last day of the world." Ever since that Jew is wandering about from country to country and people call him The Wandering Jew. They say he will remain like that until the very last day of the world.
