The name of the townsland in which I am living is called Cartronor. It is in the parish of Drumraney and barony of Killkenny West. There are eight families and about thirty four people in it. There are about six people over seventy living in it. The meaning of the name is, "The district of the marsh,." The land in it is very boggy. On the northern side of this townsland is a well called Saint
Enan's of which we have spoken.
