    in the new cottage. He told us also that one night he went up to his bedroom to listen and he told us that night he heard something like a chime clock in his room. He stayed in his room for a quarter of an hour, and it did not strike. My father built this house and he told us when he was digging the foundation a man's skull. A neighbour of ours told us he was passing by it one night and he saw a man dressed in white walking across the road.
