  1. 1. My mother and brother were going into Ballymahon one night about two years ago. As they were nearing the town, my brother saw a big dog walking beside them. My mother did not see him at all. My brother was very frightened and began to sweat.
    2. There is a room sealed up in Bredin's house, Cloncallow. A priest settled a ghost there. This ghost used to annoy the household at night when all were in bed, rattling the delph and throwing things about.
The priest was sent for and settled the spirit in this room and brought the key with him. The door and windows were sealed up, and they were troubled no more
