- There is a fort in Mrs. Connaughtons land in Cullentra, Lanesborough, Co. Longford. There is a large flat stone under a white-thorn bush and there is supposed to be a treasure hidden under this stone. A large black cat is supposed to be guarding the treasure.
The first person who attempts to take the treasure is supposed to be killed by the cat but the second person is supposed to get it. It was hidden in the time of the Danes. The man that hid it died and turned into a black cat.
