- It is situated in the Townland of Derrydarragh. It is said that in olden times it was in a different place. And a Protestant built a wall and smothered it, and it rose up in another place. The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared at it. And that is the reason it is called Lady Well. People come every year and do pilgrimages from the 15th August to the 8th September. They do stations in honour of the Blessed Virgin. There is a rock near the Well in which Mass used to be said in Penal days. B.V.M. is printed on it. The Priests used to say Mass there because it is a lonesome place. People use the water for cures.
