    When there is a blue blaze in the fire it is the sign of a big storm.
    When you see a clock crossing the road you should kill him before he gets across or if you do not, it will rain before you get home.
    It is also a sign of rain to hear the curlews roaring or the cuckoo singing hoarsly on a calm morning.
