  1. When a death occurs in a house the clock is stopped immediately.
    No one works on the neighbouring farms in the townland in which a death occurs until the funeral is over.
    On the occasion of a funeral four men of sur-name of the deceased bear the coffin from the house to the hearse. The same four men carry the coffin to the cemetery.
