is unlucky to leave a grave open over night. A grave should not be dug deeper than the last one. It is a custom with the people to cross the spades over the grave so as to guard against evil spirits.
The same four men who carried the coffin out of the house carry it into the graveyard from the cemetery gates.
The coffin should not be placed on supports while putting the body in it. It should be placed on the ground.
