  1. The people referred to as furniture makers beyond belong to two groups of families - Hanify and Quinn. Two of these families of Hanifys live in Treel and one in Cloonteagh. One family name Quinn resides in Ballagh and another in Treel.
    They make chairs, tables, presses, bedsteads, wardrobes. They do all the 'turning' for the posts of the chairs and tables.
    for the 'turning' they have a machine called a lathe which is operated by the foot like a sewing machine. With this they make all the legs for chairs and tables.
