- Matchmaking was always practised by the people in this locality.
The person to be married, or some of his relatives would go to the girl's house and bring a bottle of whiskey with him for the people of the house.
A fortune was always given with the girl. At the wedding there would be plenty of eating and drinking.
To get the drink, a crowd of young boys would go to the house of the bride with straw tied on their heads.- Collector
