  1. basket-making. Patrick Flynn who lived in the townland of Kelleter was also another old basket-maker and Jame Caherly of Kelleter was a famous basket-maker.
    Thatching. Bill Keane who lived in the townland of White rock was an old thatcher. John Brady who lived in Esker was also an old thatcher.
    Candle making. In his grandfathers time rush candles were the only means of light. This is the way the rush candles were made. First they peeled them then they dipped them in grease and afterwards hung them up to dry.
