- When a man is going to make a creel he goes and gets a good quantity of rods in some garden, and brings them home to some of his houses and sorts them and takes the strong rods and leaves them on one side, and the light ones on the other side. He leaves them to season for a week or two. Then he selects twenty eight of the strong rods and points them, and sticks them in the ground, two inches apart, eight on each side, and six on each end. Then he starts the "crow-lath", which is the rim around the mouth of the creel. When he has the crow-lath on, it is easy, as he has only to weave the light rods through the uprights.
When the creel is high enough he bends the uprights(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
