- Old Graveyards, Roads and PassesKillasonna got its name from an old church and graveyard which were in the district. The field where it was situated is now owned by a man named Peter Leavy. There is nothing to be seen in the field now except big stones. But in olden times there was a stone wall around the graveyard, but it is now used for pasture.
The people in this district take short cuts, that is they cross fields which might bring then further than if they went the proper way. In a field near the school,now owned by Pat Reid, there is a pass called "The Well Lane". Long ago it was a pass leading from Lower Killasonna to what was then(continues on next page)
