There is another hill near Granard called the Moat of Granard it overlooks the town of Granard, at the rising of '98 there was a terrible battle fought on it

There are a lot of fairy forts in my district one at James Kearney's Tonneywarden and another at Peter McGuires Killeen and our fort at Tonneywarden.
It is very unlucky to cut bushes in a fort because it was often the means of losing a man's eye.
