    Proverbs
    There is a shop in our house. One side of it is the grocery side and the other the bar. It was my Grand-father owned it first. One day a man came to him for groceries, and he did not want to pay for them. My Grand-father asked him. "Where was he from? and he said "He was from Bally-sa-dare." Then my Grand-father said to him "Nothing for nothing in Bally-sa-dare and when you come to Ballywillan you will find it the same.
    Here are some old proverbs. When you go to Connemara with your onions in a barrow you will know what it is to be there.
