Local RoadsOur local road is a bye road. It is known as the Creevy road. It leads from Ballywillian to Cloughernal crossroads, a distance of about two miles, where it joins the new road from Longford Town to Cavan. This is a very old road. About one hundred years ago this road ran close to Creevy house which was owned by a landlord named Andrew Bell. He got this road moved out about fifteen perches from his house, and planted a row of trees from the Sru-han to the fattening field about one quarter of a mile. A great portion of these trees were cut down a few years ago. They so high that they formed an arch across the road, and thats(continues on next page)- Collector
