    On the banks of a lake a monster appeared,
    In human form this monster did take
    He lived with his brother his sister and Ma,
    And the name of his father was Old Bullavagh,
    The devil himself he invented a plan,
    He said he would make something in the shape of a man,
    He stuck to his task and he never did flinch,
    And the name that they gave him was bold Jimmy Lynch,
    When Jimmy did grab up the farm he did say,
    We'll have police protection by night and by day,
    We'll have landlords to back us and Tories as well,
