    grave. There were two or three men paid no heed to the warning. They did not get much further than they were forbid to go. When on one occasion the colter was broken in the plough on other occasion the plough chains and balances flew off without any warning. In a long number of years the field was not laboured. About eight years ago the boy that is living there now was carting manure with a young horse. The horse had not done much work at the time. He was using a pass close by. When he was returning to the house with the empty cart and it only about the second time he was on the cart and he said to himself "What can there be here. It is only superstition" So he drove the horse and in on the place. He had not gone far when up jumped a hare out of the ferns and off started the animal down for the bog and lucky for him there was an old stump of a white thorn bush about three foot high he went straight for it and it caught the centre of the axle and held him fast and he got out of the cart and caught the horse. So he did not venture back after that. He passed by doing the rest of the carting. It was said there were three boys of the same name Mc Cormacks who dreamed
