  1. One time a traveller was going along an Irish road when he saw an old man crying by the roadside. The traveller asked the man what he was crying for. To the traveller's surprise the old man answered "because my father hit me". "What"! says the traveller because the old man was about one hundred years "and where is your father" asked the traveller.
The old man pointed to a house one hundred yards away. The traveller went to the old house and met another old man coming out. "Are you that man's father"? asked the traveller pointing to the old man sitting by the road side. "Yes sir".
"The rogue"! "And pray why did you hit him sir"? queried the traveller. "Because he fired a clod and hit my grandfather" said the old man leaving the traveller in amazement.
