- Cures for cuts:- (a) Heat wax until it gets soft then apply it to the cut. Before the wax falls off the wound will be healed. (b) Boil a herb known as the "Chicken Weed" in water. Pour the beverage on the wound and poultice it with the pulp of the weed.
A cure for a sore throat
Heat salt to a high degree and put it in a stocking and put it round the affected person's throat.
Cures for warts
(a) Tie a silken cord very tightly round it. (b) Keep watching the new moon when it appears picking a blade of grass at the same time. Rub the grass on the wart in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. (c) Rub a black snail on the wart and hang the snail on a thorn in a bush and as it slowly dies the wart will slowly fade away.
Cures for Rheumatics
