- (continued from previous page)(a) Get an ivy leaf and soak it in vinegar and tie it round the corn for 2 or 3 days. If necessary repeat the process.
(b) Scoop out a potato leaving a thin lining. Put a large piece of washing-soda into this & when by morning it will have dissolved rub the liquid on the corn. (c) Walk through a bog, every day for about three days in your bare feet. (d) Rub an ointment made from a herb known as the "Marsh Mallow". (e) Cut a piece of fat bacon and place it on the corn for 10 days.

(a) Bathe your eyes in bog-water.
Cures for Whooping - -cough
(a) If a Godmother places a red ribbon round the affected child's neck without the parents' knowledge the whooping - cough will be cured for ever. (b) If you meet a man with a pieball pony, ask him for a cure for the "chin - cough". (c) If the affected person eats a ferret's leavings.(continues on next page)- Collector
