played games. On Christmas day they would have a goose or turkey, a cake, and when tea was first introduced they would make sure to have some for Christmas day. Tea was first used in my District about the year 1860. A certain woman had a man working one day. She said he would be surprised to see her with tea so she sent her son to the shop for some. She got a pound and she put it in a pot to boil. When the man came in she said "John I thought you would like some tea so I sent Tom to the shop for some, Sit down till I have it fried." "Oh" she said "it is water I want." She did not know how to make tea, so when the tea had boiled she strained off the water and fried the leaves.
