Horehound tea is brewed for one hour in a tea pot and it is not to be let boil.
Sowens
Sowens is made from mill-seeds, oat-meal, water and rusty irons. They are left in a crock to sower for three weeks.
Seine
Seine is put down in cold water and let come to a boil gradually.
Blood Puddings
The pig's gut is cut in lengths about ten inches. Then they are washed thoroughly. They are filled with blood, onions, spice, pepper, salt, fat, and oat meal. They are then boiled for a half an hour.- Collector
