    Roinn Roinn Postáil
    During the time of the famine in the year 1847 nearly everybody starved to death. They had nothing to eat but Indian meal and they couldn't make stirrabout. They used to make gruel because if they made stirrabout they would waste all the meal. When the children would see it boiling over they would shout "Ah mother, mother, lift it while it's full".
    Some people had their potatoes in pits others had them in the ground but the rotted both ways.
