- The person who has the "cure" holds a cup of oaten meal to the patient's left side (over the heart), and says prayers, while holding it there. When the prayers are said, the cup is taken away, and the meal is made into an oaten cake and the patient eats some of it every Thursday until it is well eaten. (If the oaten meal sinks to half in the cup, while the prayers are being said it is a sign that the person will not be cured.)2. Water cress eaten raw is good for heart disease.
- Carry three small potatoes (raw) - in your pocket for rhumatism.
