- The Local Fairs.The local fairs are held in Camplie and Ballycullane. Long ago the fair was held in Bally hack but for some years back it has discontinued. The bargain is made between the parties concerned by striking hands. When an animal is sold the halter is given to the buyer.
The fair was usually held on a hill. Luck - Money was given to those who bought or sold cattle. Some might sell eight or nine pounds worth and get ten shillings Luck - money, others would sell £200 worth and only get a penny.
